Background
My name is Giulio. Some people spell it right, some other just about.
I'm a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, and I put all my efforts to turn these into a tool to make a better world.
Where do I come from?
I was born in Italy, then moved to London in 2004.
Before studying graphics, I've always wanted to become a doctor, following the influence of my family generational pathway.
After one year of studies, I decided it wasn't my thing. I've always had a special eye for those who suffer, and believed that if a smile can't fix things, sometimes it can make them easier.
In london I worked supporting myself through my studies. Working for Dolce & Gabbana, at the BFI, and in a small hystorical and fantastic cinema in Dalston called The RIO.
What I like
I tend to spend big part of my free time thinking of old motors. I have an old Harley Davidson and I like dedicating myself to it, building and customizing new parts and helping friends working on their projects. I must admit that engines have always had the best part of my heart since I was 9, when I started biking and never stopped.
I love Solving problems, laughing and make people laugh, making people happy, being part of things, I like when my hard work is recognised. I like helping people, being busy, learning new things, looking for details, doing things as planned, writing, watching people and imagining their existence, imitating people, I like getting dirty, building things, making things, fixing stuff, Doo Wop music, dancing, I like all animals, the sun (not the paper), taking pictures, hanging out with friends, eating and cooking good food, pizza, nice houses, well looked after gardens, old things, suitcases, crates, boxes, wooden things, things made of steel, mechanical stuff, digital geeky stuff, pastel colours, kawaii characters, screen printing, old textures, old paper, I love knowing about paper stocks, Uni Posca markers, 0.8 line drawing pens...
