Dice Magazine 83 Jacket

A piece I designed and embroidered for the Dice Magazine issue 83 cover.

My concept for the magazine was to photograph the jacket in the Woolwich underground footpath. When the cover was out I decided to raffle the jacket, gift it and donate all profits to a cancer research charity.

The raffle raised a total of £2422.93 and the cancer charity was in honor of the Dice Magazine co-founder, Matt Davis who sadly passed prematurely a couple of years before.

Like everything the piece was entirely chainstitched on a hand operated machine without the use of computers or automatisms.
A special thanks goes to Levis Vintage Clothing who donated the jacket. Dice Magazine for the opportunity and Peter Long, the amazing photographer and trusted friend who took this wonderful picture for the cover using a primo Hasselblad medium format, digital camera. Neither of us made any money out of the campaign.
