‘Outdoors Love’ patch series

I grew up in the 80s, and a lot of fun memories were linked to watching movies about camping holidays and outdoor adventures. These were particular traits of American pop culture that really stuck with my generation and pretty much dictated some of the looks and aesthetics I’m attracted to since then.

But if you want me to tell you that I used to camp when I was a kid, well, I can tell you that I sure did - in my bedroom! While growing up in a city, we chose to adapt and with a close friend, we would take turns and do camping sleepovers. We’d put up tents in each other’s bedrooms and even pretend to fish and barbecue with premade food. It was a lot of fun, and those memories are some of my favorites.

I've rediscovered the importance that the real outdoors has for my mind, my health, and my imagination during the pandemic. This mini collection is inspired by getting out and exploring. Some of the patches can be customized using different colors or adding a different name or word, and they are all entirely handmade from scratch, just like in the 1950s and 60s.
